Eso Beta Test

Starting Friday night, Bethesda Softworks launched their most recent beta test weekend for new and returning beta testers of The Elder Scrolls Online. As the largest number of testers the server had seen tried to connect, there were login issues abound. Luckily, the purpose of beta stress test weekends is to sort out issues like this, and an emergency patch got people back into the game. Previous stress test beta testers have the opportunity to join new and full access beta testers in running the servers through their paces as Bethesda approaches their April 4, 2014 target release date.

  • This is my tutorial footage from the beta test Zenimax ran a few weeks back, toward the end of February. Sorry it's a little late, and the game volume over powers my own at times, it was a dry run.
  • The Elder Scrolls Online Beta Weekend: February 28th-March 2nd Elder Scrolls Online: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly The good: The compass in your HUD actually displays the description of a quest when you focus on the marker, which was a very welcome change from having to consult the map every time you wanted to know which quest you were.
  • Elder Scrolls Online: Final Thoughts. Overall, I was very happy and pleasantly surprised with the Elder Scrolls Online thus far. As it was a beta test, many of the aspects I disliked were nothing more than glitches. The graphics are unquestionably impressive, especially for an MMO.

Previous Elder Scrolls beta testers simply need to log in and update their clients, while new testers who received their invites at the beginning of the week need to redeem their beta key on the website linked in the email they received. The beta test is still under strict non-disclosure agreement, meaning anyone testing the game is not allowed to share any details whatsoever regarding the beta or its contents. To prevent the sharing of screenshots and/or videos and streams, Bethesda has implemented a watermark faintly in the background of the game area that shows the testers email address.

The Skyrim area of The Elder Scrolls Online looks obviously familiar to current players.

Moments ago, ZeniMax Online Studios announced the latest Elder Scrolls Online beta test scheduled to take place this weekend. The beta test runs from Friday, February 28 at 12PM EDT to Sunday, March 2nd, at 11:59PM EDT. Free Elder Scrolls Monkey! This beta test is different from the ones conducted.

Players can jump in to The Elder Scrolls Online, making a character in one of three factions: The Aldmeri Dominion, The Daggerfall Covenant, and The Ebonheart Pact. Users should remember, however, that the beta is for testing, so sharing bugs with the beta forum and digging around for problems is part of the test. It is not a chance at an early look at the game, even though it may feel that way, and massive changes are always possible. Testers should also note that as a beta, there are likely to be server restarts as Bethesda implements fixes and tests new features.

The most recent Elder Scrolls beta test started Friday evening EST, and will likely end right before midnight EST tonight, Jan. 12. Those who have not had the opportunity, and those that have not signed up for the beta yet, still have the opportunity to get into future tests in the next months before the launch. People who have not signed up for the beta can apply at the website. Trailer movies 2015.

The next generation console version will see its launch following the PC version's launch. Currently slated for sometime in June, if the PC release goes off with some stumbles, it could be expected to slip a bit further.

This weekend is another closed beta event for The Elder Scrolls Online, so sharpen your battle axes and get ready to rampage across Tamriel.. If you've got beta access, anyways.

So, you're all pumped up for the ESO beta but don't have a key? Well, I've got some good news and some bad news for you.

The good: Zenimax and Bethesda have been pretty happy to send out beta invites to most people who have opted in.

The bad: If you haven't opted in or haven't received your beta key yet, it's really out of your hands. Tough luck.

Opt In

This is the only way to get into the ESO beta. Most people seem to forget: the devs of any beta don't know if you're interested unless you tell them. Sorry, but Bethesda isn't going to just send a guy around knocking door to door giving out keys. Go to the Elder Scrolls Onlinewebsite and sign up.

It may be too late for you this beta weekend, but you'll be in the running for the next beta weekend for sure. The beta application is short, sweet, and takes less than 2 minutes. Zenimax is gearing up for stress test weekends and wants the process to be as easy and streamlined as possible.

Do NOT Fall For Shady Beta Key Websites

Safari 6 requirements. Please remember that opting in is currently the only way to gain beta access. Unless beta key contests are officially announced on Bethesda's BethBlog.comor the official ESO news blog, do not believe any website claiming otherwise.

Furthermore, even a key giveaway or email looks promising, double-check the web address before doing anything. Phishing schemes get more and more convincing every day, and will steal official assets to look as convincing as possible in order to trick you into giving up personal information. And, generally, as a rule of thumb: NEVER click a bitly or other short URL that is promising beta keys. It's likely riddled with malware.

Western digital passport time machine. The same goes for key generators. Just don't mess with them. You are only putting yourself, your information, and your computer at risk. I guarantee there will be some comments on this very article promising beta keys - prime examples of what to avoid.

After a while of waiting to see if it would download the game and install everything fine I noticed I would be running into a problem or 2 so I emailed the support team and they where really fast to email back and said this was a known problem with people running some Windows OS's so I asked them what to do to fix it which they included in the email they sent me and I went through the list of things to do and so far it looks like you will have to install it fresh and then turn off all your AV and firewall protection then run the program as a administrator on that PC and then it should start to work so far my download is working and moving along fine now lets hope it works soon so I can report back on some of the more interesting things again ESO will be letting us know what we can talk about and what we cant discuss I am sure by now you know that sense this is beta testing now all details can and will be released as the game is not out yet but still today is the beta access day for me to start and see what I report I also am going to report if beta access people will be free to download the game or if we will have to buy the game as well. Hopefully they have some sort of deal sense we helped in the beta testing of the game but who knows! I know it looks really good so far in terms of quality of game play and graphics etc..
