Adobe, the company behind Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and many more applications for creatives, recently updated their application licensing technology. Roxio toast 9 titanium. Once a user upgrades to Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) 2019, they will be required to use their SMU credentials to log in to access Adobe Creative Cloud Apps and receive future updates.

1. In the coming weeks, the configuration between SMU and Adobe will be completed which will allow users to log in to the Creative Cloud application using SMU Credentials. This login will allow benefit eligible faculty and staff to install any of our University Licensed Adobe Creative Cloud Applications on up to two devices simultaneously. This means you can use your Adobe CC software on your desktop computer and your laptop at home. It will also have the functionality to easily activate/deactivate on a device to allow you the flexibility of installation on any system when needed.
2. New installation packages will be deployed to labs and shared workstations. This 'shared device license' will require the user to login to use the applications.
3. Finally, instructions will be furnished for SMU faculty and staff who wish to upgrade to the latest version of the software on their University-owned computers.

A handful of users had been selected as early adopters and provided a license to upgrade to 2019. These early adopters of Adobe Creative Cloud through our old University All Apps license will need to back up any existing assets stored in the Adobe Cloud before April 18, 2019. Please see Adobe's Manual Asset Transfer for details on how you can manually migrate your content. Unsure if you were an early adopter, don't worry – We will be contacting them directly.
